About Us

Our History

Founded in 2017 and originally named 'Olsen's Rescue and Rehabilitation. We formed as rescue taking on horses in desperate need, poor souls that had been abandoned, abused or neglected. After a while of saving these horses we came to realize that in fact they were saving us. With this in mind, we moved to the idea of having our retired/rescue horses being therapy animals. Shortly after, we started to take on ex-cavalry horses to live out their much deserved retirement. After losing our Stirling 7447, in 2019, we set up and re-branded ourselves The Stirling Trust, with the plan to use the amazing healing powers of our resident horses for veteran soldiers in need of help.

What We Do

At The Stirling Trust, we are dedicated to helping veteran soldiers build trust, confidence, and emotional resilience through time spent with our horses. We aim to provide comfort, companionship, and a sense of purpose to veterans who have served our country. Our aim for the future is to able to support family, friends and carers of veteran soldiers, as well as, training in the equine world to ease the transition into civilian life.

Who We Help

Our trust is specifically designed to support veteran soldiers who may be struggling with the transition to civilian life. We believe that the bond between a veteran and a veteran therapy horse can provide unparalleled healing and support. Currently we are available as appointment only. If you think we could help you, or a family member, please get in contact here
